Joanna Flowers, MPH, ACSM, RYT

A woman with blonde hair stands in front of a white wall with purple and blue ambient lighting. She has a white tank top and boxing exercise shorts on and one hand on her hip, smiling in a welcoming way.

Joanna (she/they) is a Health Educator who’s helped high-achievers get stronger, fitter, and resolve burnout since 2012. With simple, evidence-based strategies, Joanna helps every client build health and refine their resilience. Health is multifaceted, and fitness is a useful strategy to unlock what’s holding you back from actualizing the life of your dreams on all levels!

Joanna has experience with transformation by healing from trauma, by resetting her relationship to stress alongside diet and exercise. She’s coached clients at big-box gyms, independent studios, and via nonprofit outreach. Interested in the social determinants of health, or the non-medical things that influence our well being, Joanna’s served as the Director of Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education at the University of Vermont, and a leadership consultant to brands. She’s lost over 100lbs and understands the mental piece of lasting change. Since 2012 Jo’s helped hundreds improve their self-confidence!

Outside the gym, Jo volunteers at the ONE Community Dinner and can be found outside doing any number of activities (like hiking, sitting quietly, taking pictures and foraging) throughout the year. A creative at heart, she’s an avid reader and writes daily.
